How NOT to grow mentally old ...

If you haven't seen "Inside Bill's Brain" in Netflix, I suggest you do.

It's full of insights. But the one scene that caught my eye was when Bill Gates said his biggest fear was that his brain would stop working.

It got me to thinking ... Apart from a medical reason, can your brain stop from developing? I'm no doctor, but I'd say yes. And that's scary as hell.

Zero learning. Zero thinking. Zero creating.

How do you stop that from happening?

I've learned a lot about the creator and consumer mindsets. One leads to a life you want to escape from. The other one to a life you get excited about every single day.

And if you want the dream life, you have to become a great creator. If you want to become a great creator, you need to learn from the best.

In a professional setting, that typically means seeking advice from more senior people who work on your field. People who have climbed the ladder.

In the creator economy, that couldn't be farther away from the truth.

Check your Twitter feed and you will see teenagers with 1000's of followers and a source of income. "Teenage-me" was miles away from these kids.

And it's not just the young crowd that's impressive. But also those who create content on areas that are lightyears away from what I do. A vast knowledge network.

I once read that to become a better thinker, you have to read different topics to connect disparate ideas ...

Maybe to become a better creator, you have to learn from different people to broaden your worldview and skillset.

That's how you stop your brain from growing old. Become a "Learn-It-All".
